JCT600 has finally opened the doors to its new £9 million Ferrari supercar dealership in Leeds – after COVID-19 lockdowns set-back the development.
Work on the project started back in May last year – four months later than planned – but the AM100 car retail group’s most expensive new car dealership development to date is now welcoming its first customers.
The creation of the two-storey retail facility brings about a relocation for the iconic Italian franchise from JCT600’s long-standing from its current home at JCT600 Brooklands, in Lower Wortley, to a prominent new site on City West Business Park, The Boulevard.
Mark Taylor, property director at JCT600, added: “Providing an outstanding environment in which to enjoy the Ferrari purchase and ownership experience, this new facility will complement the innovative models on display.
“We are confident that it will be very well received by customers, and we look forward to welcoming them to our new home.”
JCT600’s Leeds Ferrari dealership this week posted video on LinkedIn giving a glimpse inside the new facility.
The new showroom adheres to a new Ferrari corporate identity first showcased at Dick Lovett’s new Ferrari dealership in Swindon.
It features a 13-bay workshop, including a bespoke Classiche area catering for the maintenance and restoration of older heritage vehicles.
Customers are also able to enjoy a large nine-screen TV-wall, playing content streamed direct from Italy, as well as a top-quality sound system and Ferrari’s new concept ‘community table’ for enhanced interaction with clients and owners.
There is also a luxury lounge and a separate aftersales consultation bay, plus three rapid electric vehicle charging points in readiness for Ferrari’s hybrid vehicles such as the SF90 Stradale.
Ferrari’s UK retail network has seen a significant amount of investment from franchisees in recent months as the brand prepares for electrification and the launch of its first SUV, the Purosangue.
Among the latest developments was Carrs Ferrari’s opening of a new, purpose-built supercar dealership in Exeter back in January.
Last December, meanwhile, Sytner Group began trading from Ferrari’s first new UK franchise point for 15 years ahead of the now imminent opening of a new Glasgow showroom.
