Despite the often wet conditions Club members were more than ready to tackle the mighty Castle Combe Circuit last week.
The final Pista Day for 2021 did not disappoint with ample track time for Club members to test & develop their driving capabilities with or without a Driver Coach. A complete sell out, groups of cars tackled the tarmac for seven hours with a wide variety of machinery ranging from 328s to the latest tipos, including a pair of F8 Tributos.
Competition cars are also welcome to run at the Club’s Pista Days and are grouped together to allow members with track focused tipos to stretch their legs in a safe environment. Last week saw a selection of Challenge spec cars being enjoyed by owners, demonstrating just how capable these cars can be in the right hands.
Off the track members were invited to enjoy hospitality in the Strawford Centre including a hot lunch, afternoon tea and refreshments throughout the day. It was particularly satisfying to welcome a number of trackway novices, taking to the track for the first time with the benefit of professional coaching.
Photos from the Castle Combe Pista Day will be available online soon. Details of the Club’s 2022 Pista programme – with plans for an expanded five-event format – will be released soon.
