At a tense final round of the Club’s hillclimb championship Pauline Goodwin (328 GTB) held on to the lead she has enjoyed most of the season to win the championship ahead of Iwan Attwood. (Subject to official confirmation).
Iwan (308GT4) would have had to score the maximum 20 points available to take the top prize but in the event it was Nick Taylor (430) who took the 20 points at Prescott and thus Pauline Goodwin emerges as the very worthy championship winner.
Not only the first lady to win the Ferrari Hillclimb Championship, this marks the first time that a husband and wife have each won the championship – Jon ‘Astronaut’ Goodwin was the winner back in 2002.
Congratulations to Pauline who will be presented with the appropriate trophy at the end of season dinner this November.
