The Ferrari Club Competizione event took place at the beginning of June and incorporated the Pirelli Ferrari Tour of Scotland, a 300-mile tour encompassing some of the best driving roads in Great Britain.
Following a Thursday evening welcome dinner the driving commenced on Friday heading towards the Western Highlands via the Grampian Mountains and Rannoch Moor, one of the UK’s most remote and unspoilt landscapes. Whilst a full ‘Lap of the Loch’ around Loch Leven wasn’t possible due to a minor landslide deleting a road from the map, the route was still loved by the driving enthusiasts on the tour.
On Saturday, the tour took to Knockhill Circuit, which featured the Ferrari Club Competizione over the same weekend. Tour participants had the option to drive the track and enjoy the competitive action over lunch. In the afternoon a private tour took place at the Glenturret Distillery, home of The Famous Grouse, ahead of an evening of Highland hospitality complete with traditional Scottish piper and band.
On Sunday members on the tour enjoyed a bespoke chocolate tasting with Iain Burnett, producer of the World’s Best Tasting Truffle, before lunch on the banks of the River Tay, capping off the proceedings with a gala dinner on the Sunday night.
