Your June issue of Ferrari

Posted on May 29, 2024.

The next edition of the Club’s magazine goes to press this week, and with the events season now fully under way, it’s crammed with articles about what we – and you – have been up to.

As well as coverage from the first rounds of this year’s CSA Service Group Ferrari Hillclimb Championship and Superformance Ferrari Club Classic, you’ll also find pieces on the Goodwood Members’ Meeting, Spa and Donington track days, plus Salon Privé and the first round of the Ferrari Challenge UK, at Brands Hatch. There’s also a feature on our first Club tour of the season, which took place in the Peak District at the start of May.

Naturally there’s news galore from our ever-active area groups, who have been out and about like never before, many of whom supported Drive It Day with enormous enthusiasm. One area group went much further afield though: last year six members of the North West section ventured over to Italy to explore some of the must-see highlights in and around Maranello, and you can read all about it in the new issue.

Also within the June edition’s pages is a great article courtesy of Yorkshire area group member Tony Dunk, who guides you through how to put on a successful treasure hunt for your fellow members. If you’re scoffing at the mere idea of this, don’t be too quick to dismiss it…

The Big Picture in this issue is of Fangio at Siracusa in 1956, at the wheel of his Ferrari-Lancia D50, while in the news pages you’ll find all you need to know about Ferrari’s new GT, the 12Cilindri. Elsewhere, Keith Bluemel has written a great article about one man’s quest to turn a dead 308 GT4 into a series of art installations.

The biggest feature of all though, is about Barry Treacy and his magnificent collection of cars, which isn’t restricted to just Ferraris. Best known for his F40, F50 and Enzo, Barry’s collection also encompasses classic Jaguars, an AC Cobra and more. Find out how his fortune grew from selling potatoes from a van, and how he acquired some of these holy grail tipos.

You can expect to receive your copy of Ferrari within a couple of days of June 12th.
